Akademickie Radio LUZ nadaje na falach 91,6 MHz prosto z kampusu Politechniki Wrocławskiej. Jako jedyna niekomercyjna rozgłośnia we Wrocławiu, gwarantuje antenę wolną od reklam. Za mikrofonami i za kulisami stoi zespół kilkudziesięciu studentów, którzy łączą dzielenie się swoimi zainteresowaniami z praktyczną nauką zawodu dziennikarza. Ich celem jest wyróżnianie się – poprzez prezentację nietuzinkowych pomysłów na wolny czas, relacjonowanie lokalnych inicjatyw, wspieranie aktywności społecznych oraz emitowanie muzyki, której próżno szukać w mainstreamowych stacjach.
